Gravesham Cultural Arts Network is our new initiative designed to train, showcase and develop cultural and creative artists in the borough.  Gravesham CAN is a partnership of community education, industry practitioners and independent artists and we're delighted to be championing local creative talent

THRIVE

THRIVE is our resilience and wellbeing programme.  Using our THRIVE model, we've been been working with the local community and various partners on a number of health, wellbeing and learning initiatives including Hypertension Heroes and mental health Listening Champions

International Women's Day 2024

 The theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion and we are delighted to be celebrating with Gravesend and Dartford School Games and Kent Police at a series of events.  We'd like everyone to join us celebrate by sharing who inspires you in our amazing online gallery

International Reggae Day

 Now in it's 30th year, the 1st July is recognised as International Reggae Day and celebrates reggae music and Caribbean culture


We hold International Reggae Day parties and events and this year will be visiting the 500 Years of Black British Music Exhibition curated by Beyond the Bassline 

Women's History Month 2023

 For Women's History Month 2023 we attended a spectacular performance of SOLD a play which showcases the life Mary Prince. Born into enslavement in Bermuda in 1785, her book, the 'History of Mary Prince' is the first ever, first-hand account of an African Caribbean woman enslaved or otherwise published in England



Unity in the Community

In 2020 community members came together to reflect on the tragic murder of George Floyd at the hands of American police officers in Minneapolis

INVOLVE Kent

Thanks to funding from Involve Kent, we are able to host our weekly Seniors lunches and provide opportunities for our members to socially interact at free events


The feedback from all participants has been   

extremely positive with all members stating that they have benefitted both physically and emotionally from attendance
