Patricia joined the Metropolitan Police in January 1994 and performed a number of different roles between 1997 to 2015, which included Racial and Violent Crime Task Force, diplomatic protection group (armed support), CSU, Burglary and Robbery and as an Investigator in Bexley, Southwark and Lewisham.
Patricia also worked as an investigator on the Phone Hacking Enquiry between 2011 to 2015 for which she received a Commendation for her contributions to the success of Enquiry.
Patricia was seconded on Operation Minstead and Princes Trust as a Team Leader and was the only team leader that retained her 13 young people throughout the 12 week programme.
Whilst working full time for the Metropolitan Police, Patricia also successfully completed an honours degree at Canterbury University where she specialised in law and criminal justice. Patricia joined the Criminal Finance Team in September 2015 in West Hampstead, before moving to Barking Economic Crime in June 2019.
Patricia’s last roles up to her retirement were as a Family Liaison Officer. Patricia was a Family Liaison Officer to Neville and Doreen Lawrence during the well reported Steven Lawrence Enquiry from March 2000 to July 2002 during which time she was on call 24hrs a day and her role was pivotal to ensure there was open and honest communication between the family and the Police.
Patricia also served as a liaison officer during the London Bombings and Grenfell Tower Fire and has received numerous Commendations and Awards for her professionalism, dedication and resilience
