Dr Bhargawa Vasudaven is a retired GP who has worked in Gravesend for over 25 years.
He is a retired Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine and a former Chief Executive Officer of the Walk in Centre in Northfleet.
He is also a retired Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and one of the Founder Members of their Pre-Hospital Care Faculty.
Dr Vasudaven is well known in the borough and beyond for his tireless voluntary work, where he sits on several boards and committees, serving as a medical advisor to the Kent Air Ambulance for 15 years, Gravesend RNLI station for 9 years, trustee of Ellenor Hospice for over 5 years and continues as a Patron of the House of Mercy – a charity for the homeless in Gravesend.
In 2013 he was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant in Kent where his role is to assist in the performance of any public duty performed by the Lord-Lieutenant, The Lady Colgrain who is the county’s official representative of His Majesty King Charles III.
